Wine Spectator reviews Hentley Farm wines
11 January 2011
We are delighted to announce that Harvey Steinman of Wine Spectator magazine (one of the US's most influential wine experts) has recently reviewed our three luxury Shiraz: The Beauty 2008, The Beast 2008, and the Clos Otto 2008, and has awarded them outstanding scores.
The Clos Otto Shiraz, our flagship wine, scored 95 points, with the comment: "Rich, ripe, round and deep, delivering a complex mouthful of black cherry, plum, fig and licorice flavors, hinting at aromas of chocolate and wet sand as the finish lingers impressively. Drink now through 2020".
The Beast 2008 followed closely, with 93 points, and the comment: "Dense and spicy, this is a big wine, offering a distinctive mouthful of black cherry, dried blueberry, red pepper and chocolate flavors that come together nicely on the long, expressive finish. Drink now through 2020."
And The Beauty 2008 also received 93 points, being described as "Broad and spicy, with a surprisingly open texture that lets the black cherry, smoke and licorice flavors explode over the palate, persisting on the ripe, powerful finish. Drink now through 2018."
These comments validate the quality of our wines and secure their place amongst the best in the world. For the full article, please click here. And to get your hands on any of these wines, please click on the menu above to access the "Hentley Farm Online Store".
