Set on the banks of Greenock Creek amongst the truly beautiful vista of the rolling hills, our intimate cellar door is housed in the property's original 1840's homestead. Painstakingly restored to retain its original charm, it provides the perfect environment for the phoebe pouring cellar doorexceptional boutique wine experience.

 

We are open 7 days a week (except for Christmas Day) from 10am-5pm.

Features & Offerings

The cellar door houses an intimate tasting area. Small group and formal tasting sessions can be conducted by appointment and can be tailored to your needs. On a beautiful day our verandah overlooking the courtyard is the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine.

 

Within our charming cellar door lies our Tally Room, where Hentley Farm 'Tally Room' club members can enjoy the unique experience of a private tasting lounge area.

With a new chef partner joining the team in November 2011, we are now more than ever focused on providing our guests with not only an extraordinary wine experience but also a memorable dining one.


Lachlan Colwill brings to Hentley Farm a wealth of experience alongside youthful enthusiasm and passion. A Barossa boy originally he has worked in Salters and 1918 (also the breeding ground for SA's masterchef contestant, Callum Hann), and trained at top restaurants including Tetsuyas, Est., Spice Temple and New York's Jean Georges. In his four years at Adelaide's dining institution, The Manse, he guided it to new heights, being awarded the Best Fine Dining Restaurant three years running (from 2008-2010), as well as the Best Restaurant and Best Chef awards in 2010 in the SA Restaurant and Catering awards. And in 2009 his personal talent was put beyond question when he won the national La Chaine des Rotisseurs Chef Competition, went on to represent Australia in the international competition in New York, and placed third in the world.


At this stage we can provide private dining experiences at any time by prior appointment, whether that be a lunch for 40 in our beautifully restored dining space in the property's old barn, or an intimate degustation dinner for 12 in the cottage's private dining room (available for Hentley Farm loyalty program members only).Whatever you choose, we can tailor a food and wine experience that will impress you and your guests.
