We were very proud to receive plaudits at the Royal Adelaide Wine Show for wines across our portfolio The 2021 Hentley Farm Garganega has introduced our new Mount Crawford estate in style, when awarded Gold and 96 points at the show. Earlier this year we acquired a vineyard set high in the hills at the southern edge of the Barossa Valley. Whilst sharing the rolling hills and gum tree vista of our Seppeltsfield Estate, the 23-hectare property - with fifteen under vine - at 450 meters is one of the…

The Quintessential Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon’s quality is…

Clare Falzon featured on Deep in the Weeds Podcast with Anthony Huckstep

Posted 03 September, 2021
[audio mp3=""][/audio] Thank you to Anthony Huckstep from The Deep In The Weeds Podcast for featuring our Executive Chef Clare Falzon. ‘Inspired by her Maltese heritage, Clare Falzon knew she wanted to be a chef at a very young age. She set off to the UK and Europe to immerse herself in some of the world’s best kitchens, but it wasn’t until she returned to Australia and worked under Jacqui Challinor at Nomad that she discovered a great connection with producers. Now, after building those foundations she’s the Executive Chef at…

Hentley Farm was successful at the recent 2021 Marananga Wine Show winning five trophies including, "Best Wine of Show" with the 2020 Hentley Farm Cabernet Sauvignon. As Australia’s only sub regional wine show, The Marananga show puts the very best of the reputed Barossa’s western ranges district, where our Seppeltsfield Vineyard proudly resides, on centre stage. Over the years we have been fortunate to enjoy a history of success in the event and this continued this year, with the 2019 The Beauty Shiraz winning “Best 2019 Shiraz” and “Western Ridge…

The Real Review – Clos Otto 2018 Shiraz

Posted 04 August, 2021
97/100 Stuart Knox   Ink black heart into a glass-coating deep purple rim. Dark fruits, lifted North African spices and black olive tapenade on the nose. Deep and dense on the palate, dark fruits, loam and bay leaf show early then roll into a melange of spices, blood and stones. Undoubtedly full-bodied but the fine brush of acidity and gravelly tannins control it and bring a vitality that's unexpected. Lingers forever on the palate. A great example of big Barossa handled with great care and attention. 03 MAR 2021 Drink: 2023–2041

The Real Review – H Block 2018 Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon

Posted 04 August, 2021
95/100 Ralph Kyte-Powell   A big Barossa red in a heavy bottle, this has dense, deep, saturated purplish colour and a powerful nose of crushed dark berries, dried currants and roasting pan juices, skilfully balanced with a well-measured seasoning of toasty vanillin oak. It’s full-bodied, ripe and complete, with a flowing velvety texture and a solid backbone of ripe tannins supporting an appropriately long finish. Shiraz-cabernet blends have a long tradition in the Barossa Valley and this is a worthy example, hefty in build, but fresher and more refined than many.…
