Barossa Wine Show

Wine of Show for The Old Legend

Posted 23 September, 2019

The annual Barossa Wine Show is seen as a showpiece of the region’s very best wines in any given year. Hundreds of wines are entered in over 25 different classes and Hentley Farm was honoured to receive an impressive array of awards and accolades. The 2018 ‘Old Legend’ Grenache was the hero of the evening, and Hentley Farm chief winemaker Andrew Quin had this to say about the Grenache –

“An integral blending component for Barossa’s wines, it is rewarding to see the new direction of Grenache as a stand-alone variety recognised by the judges tonight. Grenache is important for the future of our region’s diversity and sustainability.  To be part of its evolution is very exciting.”
