Established in 1997 by Keith and Alison Hentschke, who had a single vision to craft exceptional single estate wines from the Barossa Valley.

Opulence, complexity and balance all come to mind when thinking about the Clos Otto Shiraz....With vines planted by previous owner Otto Kasper using a cutting from an ageing and secret Shiraz clone, and tended to with almost antique machinery and a well-practiced hand, the Clos Otto vineyard consistently yields super low quantities with ultra rich flavours.

Each year, our Chief Winemaker Andrew Quin creates a limited release single block wine that showcases the unique terroir diversity across the Hentley Farm estate, and the characteristics of the vintage that was. This wine features an original label created each vintage by artists from the Adelaide Central School of Art, to portray the individuality, style, and distinction of this iconic wine.
